Lost Access to Authenticator

Hi I lost access to my 2FA authenticator after the latest OS update.
I tried logging in with the 2FA Secret Key but it does not allow me to log in.

Can someone please help?

You would need to login using backup keys. The secret key is used only during the setup process.

You can also try authenticator recovery with Google or Authy.

I don’t think this worked.
I don’t remember having received backup codes when I set up my 2FA.
The only thing I have is the secret key.

Everyone gets the option to download backup codes once 2FA is set up.

Looks like I don’t have it.
Is there a way to reset it?

We cannot reset your 2FA. That is why we provide backup codes.

Did you try the recovery process with Google or Authy?

I tried the Google recovery process.
It only recovered the codes for my Google account.
It did not recover the accounts I had on authenticator.

That is odd. It should have recovered any account you have added. Have you reached out to Google for support?

The link does not show a method to recover authenticator from a phone which had been reset.
This link only shows how to move authenticator to a new phone. It pretty much says that you cannot recover codes for an account if you don’t have the original authenticator.

The process should be the same for a phone that was reset to factory settings.

iam losse my authy

Did you delete the Authy application or get a new phone?

You can try Authy’s recovery process:
